This is the fifth anniversary edition.

In five years the BrandZTM Top 100 Most Valuable Chinese Brands has become the definitive annual resource for understanding Chinese brands and the dynamics that drive value growth.

The brand value of the Top 100 increased 22% year–on–year surpassing the percentage value growth of the BrandZTM Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands.

The internet portal Tencent doubled in brand value and claimed the number one position in the BrandZTM China Top 100.

Alibaba, the ecommerce giant, appears in the rankings for the first time following its record breaking $25 billion IPO.
